I’m looking for some assistance with diamond selection for an engagement ring.
I’m interested in an oval diamond in the 3 carat range with a budget of 35k. The plan is to put it on the thinnest platinum solitaire setting that will adequately support the weight of the stone. Thanks for any assistance.
I can’t seem to find many options for your budget, but I did find this 2.70 beauty:

The diamond you suggested is okay, but can you provide a rough estimate of price to get a little closer to the 3 carat mark? Also what type of budget would it take to get a stone like I’ve described without significant compromises in quality?

There are a very few ovals within 35k and most of them are either not eye-clean or badly cut.
I can probably increase the budget a bit. Will just need to save for another month or 2. These diamonds look a little better. Please keep me posted if you come across any other stones in this price range and I’ll let you know when I’m ready to move forward.
