Q&A: Help Finding a 1.50 Ct. Square Cushion Cut Diamond With Around $10k Budget

Hello! Saw your page and would love some help for an engagement ring! Looking for a square cushion cut 1.5 carat diamond budget under $10k. Thanks to your site I have been looking on James Allen and have found some I like but would like some advice also. Let me know thanks!

I am looking for a specific Cushion Brilliant diamond. I am looking for one that is almost round in shape. Looking to spend 9-11K on the diamond. After doing some research on your site I have been looking around and it is very hard to find cushion brilliants, modified are much more common. I went to a local jewelry store recommended to me by a friend and they had an eye clean GIA rated 1.5 carat SI1 I Ex/Ex no flourescence cushion brilliant they were selling for listed 14k but they would give it to me for 10.9k. I thought that sounded a little high so I started doing some research and found Brian Gavin’s website through your site. They have some great cushion brilliants with higher ratings than that one in the store for cheaper so I wanted to get your opinion, just looking at these diamonds they look like a better cut then the one I saw and I love how they look:

The other one is not listed on the site yet but they sent me a still image and it is a 1.51 F VVS2 – GIA EX EX no flourescence for $10,933 – looks fantastic in the image and on GIA cert, highly considering this one as long as I can see the video of it first.

I looked on James Allen and Blue Nile also but it was very hard to find any cushion brilliants with this look on those sites.

For some reason its not working for me either, I will have to ask them that one may have sold or something. They do however have this one, I am working on getting a video of it but here is a picture and GIA cert. This is for the second one I listed without a link that I said I was very interested in.

I did like the ones you sent but most already sold and the one problem with James Allen was I was not able to tell which were cushion modified vs. cushion brilliants. I did like those, but I really like how the BG ones are more round in shape and cut with the brilliant style. Let me know your thoughts and hopefully I can get that video to send you also thanks!!
