Hello. I came across your site looking for diamond buying advice and I couldn’t have found anywhere better. Thanks!
So after trawling through lots of diamonds on James Allen I think I may have found a nice one. Could you please let me know your thoughts, or perhaps alternatives at a similar price,
Many thanks.

I checked the diamond and I’m afraid that the inclusions are going to be visible to the naked eye. Can you tell me what setting (solitaire, pave, halo) and metal (platinum/white or yellow gold) you are going to use?
Then I’ll be happy to help you with the search.
Many thanks for getting back to me and thanks for the advice on the diamond. I’ve spent more time on the website looking at your recommendations and have been trying to find something similar to the below. It has (unfortunately) already sold, but was a recommended to another customer a short while ago.
I was thinking of a basic white gold solitaire setting, as I’d rather spend more on the centre diamond. I have, however, also looked at a basic pave setting, although I understand that might require a better colour of diamond.
I’ve been working to a budget of around $2,500 for the diamond and setting, excluding taxes for shipping to the UK.
Thank you for the info.
I found the following two diamonds for a solitaire white gold setting:
They are both eye-clean, very well cut stones that will appear colorless in the setting.
What do you think?
And exactly as you’re saying. If you plan to go for a pave setting we’d have to go up in color grade. Let me know if you want me to search for a diamond into a pave style ring, too.
Thanks for your quick reply.
I love both of the diamonds. I’m thinking of opting for the first one, and going for a slightly different solitaire setting than I had planned. I’ve added a link to it below.
What do you think?
I´m happy that you like the diamonds I sent you.
Thanks for sending this setting, I like it a lot. Please let me know how it looks when it arrives.
