I’m looking to buy an engagement ring with a radiant cut diamond (love the unique rectangle shape) within this month and I really need your expert opinion. My budget is $4000 total and I’m thinking of a plain solitaire setting to be able to get a bigger stone. I came across these 2 diamonds but not sure which one will look better: the K color – will it be too yellow and the J color – will it be too fuzzy with medium florescence? Which one has the better cut and will shine better? etc. Please help me choose the perfect ring! Thanks so much in advance!

I’d be happy to make some recommendations and guide you through the process. What type of setting are you considering? Yellow gold or white gold/platinum? Will it be a solitaire or does it have sidestones/pave? This may affect the colors that I recommend for the center diamond (as we explain in our post on color).
As you can see from the color article, JK is really pushing it for a radiant.
