I currently have this diamond on reserve:
Blue Nile LD08194893
I like this diamond because the size has excellent face up appearance. Is this a good value? Should I try better color and lower clarity grade? I still want something as close or larger than 10 mm as possible.
The diamond looks nice. It’s a bit shallow, but it should be OK. However, you need to ask for its actual photo to make sure the bow tie isn’t too obvious.
Also, I noticed the diamond is I color. What style setting (solitaire, pave/side stones, halo) and metal (yellow gold, white gold, platinum) are you putting it in? I just want to make sure it won’t look yellow.
Hi, I’m going to place it in a 14kt white gold halo setting. I did ask to have the bow tie evaluated but haven’t received a response yet.
I also found this one today:
Blue Nile LD07664068
It’s a beautiful color but not sure of the inclusions.
Let me know when you hear back from Blue Nile.
Those crystals look large. But again, we would know more if we saw a photo of it.
I got a response for one of the diamonds:
Blue Nile LD07427168 Pear 1.35-Carat Diamond
(GIA 2156039711 1.35 H PS VVS1 58.9/60)
It is on reserve for me.
I like that diamond. It looks very clean and the bow tie doesn’t seem harsh at all (of course, we only see one angle). It’s definitely a good option.
Hi! I went ahead and purchased that diamond. Thank you for the reassurance!
Excellent! I think it will look amazing.
Let me know how you like it in person.
