Hey,
I read your reviews all the time and I’m stuck between two nice stones. Any advice? Brilliance and sparkle are very important to me as well as having an eye-clean diamond. Please let me know your thoughts!
Thanks!
I don’t like the inclusion on the JA stone. It would be visible to the naked eye.
The Brian Gavin’s one looks better, though. Because their diamonds have much more brilliance, the inclusion will most likely not be noticeable. I recommend contacting them directly and asking about this specifically.
I think I’m leaning towards BG as well. There is an eclipse sale today. My only thought is that the JA diamond is a bit larger, but I was told that size won’t be noticeable. BG certainly has a huge reputation for brilliance so I think that will end up being my choice!
The size difference isn’t that big. You get much more than just a perfect diamond with Brian Gavin. On top of that, their service is also outstanding.
I can see that the diamond is reserved. Was it you who put it on hold?
Yes, I reserved that diamond. Want to make sure it is secured before someone else buys it. I haven’t really seen any other diamonds in my price range that compare to the brilliance on this stone. The hope was to get to 1.5 carats but I think 1.36 will do. There doesn’t appear to be a major difference in size.
There isn’t a major difference. Plus, I would much rather have a slightly smaller diamond with a fantastic appearance than a larger one with worse light performance.
