I’m searching for a solitaire diamond ring for my fiance, and have a particular type of diamond in mind: round, D colour, between 0.25-0.3 carats, set in a thin white gold band. My budget is around AUD $1000.
I have a photograph of the type of ring I’d like to purchase. I’d like to send you it (if possible). My fiance is places importance on the colour of the stone… the shinier, the better.
I would highly appreciate any advice you could give me.

It’s not color, but the cut of the diamond what makes it beautiful and sparkly (fire and brilliance are the terms we use). Even if you drop only a few grades you get a fantastic diamond that’s much larger (or save some money).
