Q&A: Finding a Round Diamond for a White Gold Setting with Sidestones for Around $2,200 Budget

Hi there, I’m looking to buy a diamond in the next few months with a $2200 budget. I cannot go much higher than this as I am in grad school. I would like to get a round diamond and am lost with all the choices.Is there a recommendation that you can give me?

I’d be happy to make some recommendations and guide you through the process. What type of setting are you considering? Yellow gold or white gold/platinum? Will it be a solitaire or does it have sidestones/pave? This may affect the colors that I recommend for the center diamond (as we explain in our post on color).
