1) Approximate budget: $4, 000 for the loose diamond (~$5,000 for the diamond + setting)
2) 14k White Gold
3) https://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/halo/14k-white-gold-pave-halo-and-shank-diamond-engagement-ring-cushion-center-item-17429?a_aid=dmnd1357
I was looking at https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/cushion-cut/1.05-carat-h-color-si1-clarity-sku-226552?a_aid=dmnd1357 or https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/cushion-cut/1.04-carat-h-color-si1-clarity-sku-202564?a_aid=dmnd1357 but am open to any of your suggestions. One thing I’m confused about is the Cut and how to calculate what’s good based on the Table and Depth percentages. James Allen has a slider tool on this: https://www.jamesallen.com/education/diamonds/diamond-cut/ but it seems as though the max percentages only go up to 65%.
Thanks SO much for all your help, it definitely is a blessing to have someone so knowledgable about the diamond industry on your side when doing something extremely intimidating!
The cut on those diamonds is fine. The JA cut tool is for round diamonds only.
The diamonds you selected are not eye-clean. I would recommend this one instead:
www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/cushion-cut/1.01-carat-h-color-vs2-clarity-sku-226581?a_aid=dmnd1357
Its well cut, eye-clean and the same price range. It will look amazing in that setting. What do you think?
That’s the one I picked! Thanks so much for your help, it was exactly what I was looking for.
