I like the look of the ring in the link below but am concerned about durability. The chat rep at James Allen tells me that it is extra strong because it is made from wire instead of cast. Do you have any advice/comments in regards to this? I know from research that platinum is typically a softer metal than 14k/18k gold since it is typically more pure and I don’t want to end up with a ring that is prone to deformation. I’m looking get a diamond as well but thought I would start with this subject and continue from there.
I’d be happy to help, but it seems like you forgot the link.
JA and Danhov both have excellent track records and that setting looks fantastic.
Okay, I guess I will stop worry about it then. I am looking to get a round cut diamond and spend $8000 total between the setting ($3560) and the diamond, what would you recommendation be?
This diamond is ridiculously well cut:
I think this diamond is a superb choice. I haven’t seen such a nice cut on JA in a while. This is the type of diamond that should go for a large premium on Brian Gavin or their True Hearts. Symmetry isn’t such a big deal; its the depth/table and angles. This diamond will be incredibly brilliant.
What do you think?
