Looking at round cut diamonds on James Allen. Would like the best looking stone:
Cut – True Hearts, Color H to J for white gold setting, 1.5 to 1.8 carets, no visible inclusions – $10000 to $12000 range. Leaning towards a pave or channel setting.

An I color stone is going to look colorless in the style of setting you like. But I wouldn’t go lower. Also, this diamond is beautifully cut. As much as we love JA, we don’t really pay too much attention to their TH. Don’t take me wrong, I’m not saying they are not beautiful. But I don’t think you should pay extra without getting any additional benefit. The stone I found is as beautifully cut and it’s less expensive.

Thanks for the information. That diamond is the max size for the setting that I’m looking at which is the Twisted Pave setting.

I do like your suggestion and the setting that I’m looking at will take only up to 1 and 1/2 carat period so that should be perfect. The pave twisted band is about 1900 dollars. At present I’m trying to figure out how I wish to pay for this and exactly when.

Looking at the diamond that you selected for me, I see in the picture what appears to be perfect symmetry where none of the others, looking at them from the top of the diamond seem to have quite the same near perfect pattern. Am I thinking correctly? Having said that, the inclusion seems to be large and dark in that one. If we dropped to diamonds 1.4 to 1.5 carets are they any that would be as nice as this one but without the dark inclusion?
