Hi, I’m looking for an engagement ring for my girlfriend. I’d like to prioritize cut over anything, and for that reason I was drawn to the Gavin Signature Hearts and Arrows collection. However, when browsing their website all diamonds that I found that fit my criteria I was unable to view an image. Can you request images prior to purchase? Is there a distinct advantage to a Gavin Signature diamond vs a round James Allen diamond of the highest cut?
Brian Gavin is known as one of the world’s experts when it comes to perfectly cut diamonds. BGD’s Signature diamonds are truly fantastic. They are all incredibly brilliant. You can’t compare it to JA.
Can you please send me the diamonds you found that didn’t have photos? Generally speaking, if you contact their customer service, they will tell you if it’s possible to view the diamond or not. But usually, if the diamond isn’t new on the website (therefore the picture will be added later), they should have the photos available online.
Thanks for the response. I had originally found 3 diamonds I was interested in without pictures. I was speaking with their customer service and they indicated these were new stones with pictures yet to be uploaded.

However, after looking a little bit more, I found a diamond with a picture that I thought was an even better deal. It’s slightly bigger than the others, but costs less, the only compromise was on the color.

Do you have any advice on these 4 stones? I’m looking to put it on a simple, white gold setting.
The third diamond already has pictures. It seems like they are new diamonds and BGD is still taking pictures and completing the info about them.
If the setting will be a solitaire setting, J+ diamond is absolutely perfect. I love the one you chose:

I searched again and I couldn’t find anything better. iI’d go for it before someone else buys it before you. It’s a fantastic choice.
Thanks for the advice. I was looking at a solitaire setting, and am looking to purchase soon. Is there any advantages to 4 prong or 6 prong? Intuitively I feel like you’d be able to see more of the diamond with a 4 prong but that’s just a guess.
Also, I saw on your website you could get discounts on some of the online retailers. Do you have that for Brian Gavin?
Exactly, the less metal around the diamond, the more light can pass through it. But other than that, it only depends on your taste.
Unfortunately, there isn’t any discount code for Brian Gavin.
Thanks. I think my last question, my girlfriend thinks she is a size 6 or 7. Should I go with the larger and then have it fitted later? Or should I wait for her to measure it? I’m pretty set on this diamond and don’t want to lose it, but I want to make sure if I’m wrong with the size it isn’t a costly mistake.
There are online programs for ring sizes. Try them. Just google “ring sizer.” And then you can talk to Brian Gavin and they will help you decide what size would be the best. They have more experience with this than us, since they make the jewelry.
Thank you very much for all of your help. I selected that diamond and purchased it. Talking with you gave me peace of mind that the diamond I selected was a good choice. This email address is the one associated with the order, so you should be able to get credit.
Fantastic news! It was my pleasure helping you.
