I’m looking to buy a loose diamond and have it mounted in a ring at a local store. I have noticed I can get a much better price online for diamonds. It will be a white gold ring with about 1 ct of side stones. My budget for stone is around 9000 to 9500. I was looking in the G to H range and wanted a nice clean diamond with sparkle as big as looks good.
Just to make sure we’re on the same page, are you going to use a solitaire setting?
Can you tell me what shape diamond you are looking for?
It will be white gold with side stones. I was looking for a round diamond. Something like this. I’m not set on g or h color. Mainly I want a nice diamond that won’t look yellowish with good sparkle. I would like a bigger but not over quality. I don’t want to be able to see the inclusions or black spot or look hazy to the naked eye.
Thank you for the additional info.
Here’s a diamond that will work well with it:

It’s superbly cut and will be incredibly brilliant in that setting.
What do you think?
That is a nice diamond. Will I see any hint of yellow with color I? Also would going up to $9500 do much as far as size or anything else?
Not at all. I color is our usual recommendation for that type of setting and it always looks great.
I searched in the $9500 range, but that diamond still happened to be the best option I found there.
