Hi. I’m looking to purchase a yellow diamond in one of the square cuts and am leaning towards cushion cut. I am trying to decide between lebish or james allen to purchase from. As far as the pictures provided on their websites is there one you feel is more accurate then the other with regards to color? Thanks.
I’ve had plenty of practice interpreting photos on both sites. What is your ballpark budget and I’ll check both and recommend something.
Hi. Thanks! It’s for my brother actually. I’m just trying to help him out. He wants to spend around $3000 total including the setting and get a yellow cushion cut diamond, but the other square shapes would be ok too. Thanks!
These would be my recommendation for your brother:
www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/fancy-color/yellow/cushion-cut/0.93-carat-vvs2-clarity-sku-357295?a_aid=dmnd1357
www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/fancy-color/yellow/cushion-cut/0.92-carat-vs1-clarity-sku-370530?a_aid=dmnd1357
What do you think?
Thanks so so much! These look great. I wouldn’t mind giving him a couple diamond options between $1800 and $2000 range as well if possible. The diamond size they looked at was .72 and they seemed happy with it. The ones you found are great deals though for a good size.
My other quick question was about setting yellow diamonds in yellow gold baskets with the rest of the ring in white gold. Under the halo settings on James Allen there isn’t an option to do this, so I was wondering how important you think that is with yellow diamonds? I’m so happy we found your website. It’s been so helpful with this yellow diamond search. Thanks so so much!
I would contact JA directly and ask them about the halo baskets. You can also figure out exactly how much the setting will cost then settle on a price for the diamond.
