I am looking for a round diamond between 1 and 1.25 carats. I have a budget around $4000 to $6000 for the diamond. I want to make sure it is eye clean. I am thinking about doing a solitaire but I have heard halo settings have become quite popular. I want to make sure the diamond is accentuated and am unsure of the halo setting. I appreciate your advice and have learned a lot from your site.
If you go for a halo setting this would be my recommendation. If you go with a solitaire, you can get a larger diamond by dropping the color:
What do you think?
I have been looking into the diamonds. I really like this diamond. What do you think for the price/quality in comparison to what you have provided?
I know it is outside of my initial budget given to you. I actually have this on hold and a gemologist is comparing against.
The other two they are comparing are:

Thank you.
I can’t see the price, but I’d think all of those are terrible values. Once a diamond is eye-clean its eye-clean. It doesn’t matter if its SI2 or VVS2. So unless those diamonds are the same price as the one I suggested, I won’t recommend that route.
Did you see what I said about the setting choice affecting which color the center stone should be?
I apologize I didn’t realize you could not see the price. For the 1.15ct diamond it is 6,020.
Yes, I did read that, that is why I am staying in the J area as the setting is yellow. So the 1.20 is a better value and will not provide any difference in look compared to the 1.15 I was looking at? My concern is I looked at an SI2 in store and was not impressed with all the inclusions. It was EGL USA before I started doing research, now I know EGL is not that credible but I get concerned with SI2.
The diamond you saw was two grades lower in clarity (at best). Its comparing apples to oranges. I am not concerned about the inclusions.
