Do you think this would work well in a halo ring, with one outer row of diamonds?
Blue Nile LD07984308
The inclusions are at the side so I think can be hidden.
My budget is about £7500 for the ring and setting and I am planning to get it set in London (hence being restricted to Blue Nile).
I’m afraid that the J color is going to have warm tint in a halo style setting. That’s why I don’t recommend purchasing this stone. I’d stick with H+ color for halo.
Blue Nile is a great way to go, since you’re located in London.
Have a look at this stone:
Blue Nile LD08023497
It’s very well cut and going to look colorless. I know that it’s smaller than you first planned but I think that it’s worth the impression.
What do you think?
Thank you for your help. She dropped a few heavy hints recently about her actually wanting a cushion cut so I’m looking at that now. Seems like much less selection on blue Nile… I will look for H minimum as you say.
I might take a look at James Allen just because there seems more options.
……
Would this cushion cut be ok:

Thank you for the information.
I’m afraid that the feathers on this stone can negatively impact its integrity. That’s why I don’t recommend purchasing it.
Have a look at these two:

They are both very well cut and going to look colorless.
What do you think?
The Blue Nile one looks good, I may go for it. I’ve put a reservation on this: Blue Nile LD08137586
And they’ve sent me a pic (attached).
What do you think compared to your one?
The stone you found is beautiful, too. It has great overall specifications and it’s eye-clean. If you like it, go for it.

Great, thank you.
I am waiting for the picture of your one, then deciding if it’s £400 better and I’ll probably purchase tomorrow lunchtime.
Thanks for all your help!
That sounds fantastic. Keep me posted.
I’ve ordered the diamond I linked, should be dispatched today and delivered next week – I hope it looks good in person. Your one seemed a little duller (attached) but maybe the facets were a little better? It’s really hard to tell from a single photo.
Thanks for all your help, will keep you posted if I have to return it.
That’s great news!
Let me know how you like the stone once it arrives.
