How long do rings from either Blue Nile or James Allen take to get made? My budget is 15k AUD (11k USD). Do you think I should spend most of that on the diamond? What is your recommendation for what I should prioritize?
It depends on the diamond and the type of setting you select. I’d be happy to make some recommendations for you, but I need a little more info.
What diamond shape are you looking for?
What style setting (solitaire, pave/side stones/halo) and metal (yellow/white gold, platinum) do you want to use? This may affect the colors that I recommend for the center diamond (as we explain in our post on color).
I was thinking a round diamond. The style I picked out was rose gold infinity twist. I am pretty sure she likes rose gold so happy to stick with that colour.
I also live in Australia so am very keen to use a site that lets me pay in Aus Dollars. I plan to propose in NZ in about two months, so if you have any advice on when I need to order the ring by so that it comes by then it would be greatly appreciated.
