Q&A: Choosing an Emerald or Asscher Cut Diamond for a Yellow Gold Bezel Ring With a $2,800 Budget

Hi: I’ve learned a lot from your site and thanks for all the resources.

I’m looking for an asscher or emerald cut diamond, max price ~ $2800. It will be bezel-set in a yellow gold solitaire setting. I’m not very sensitive to color- in fact I kind of like the “vintage” look of lower color grades so I’d be willing go down quite a bit (I’ve been looking in the I-J range).

Could you recommend a good option or two for each shape?
