I’m planning to purchase a diamond ring within the next two months. My budget for just the loose diamond is just under $6500. I’m looking at G/H colors, but there are a ton of options everywhere and I don’t know which one would look the best within this price range!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!
What shape diamond, style setting (solitaire, pave/side stones, halo) and metal (yellow gold, white gold, platinum) are you planning to get?
I’m looking for round shape diamond, solitaire setting (hopefully with the side baguettes but haven’t decided on the setting yet), and preferably rose gold metal (if I can find a rose gold/platinum two-tone setting that would be great!).
Let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks!
A two-tone setting might be a bit more difficult to find. But because you are not sure what exactly you would like now, let’s focus on the diamond first.
For a rose gold setting (or even a white gold one), you can easily go down to I+ color: https://www.diamonds.pro/education/color/.
The largest diamond I found was around 1.20ct. Look at this 1.23ct option: Blue Nile LD08939801
It’s eye-clean, well cut and will look very bright and brilliant. What do you think?
It looks good, however I was trying to be at G/H color and the pavillion angle at or less than than 41 degrees. Any other recommendations?
Thanks!
How about this one?
Blue Nile LD08985432
This one looks pretty good, I’ll add it to my consideration.
Let me know if you find anything else maybe from James Allen or BG.
Thanks!
……
Do you think you can find a 1.1-1.2 carat round diamond, none to medium fluorescence, G/H color, VS2 or better clarity with these following specifications? It would be much appreciated!
Thanks!
I didn’t find anything eye-clean like that within $6,500.
But this one would be my other recommendation:
www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.13-carat-h-color-vs1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-3083961?a_aid=dmnd1357
I wouldn’t focus on the angles that much if I were you. Otherwise, you’re going to end up with a far smaller diamond or pay a much higher price for no significant difference in appearance.
This one looks great!
Thanks for your recommendations.
My pleasure.
Let me know how it looks when you receive it.
