Q&A: Choosing a Round Brilliant for a White Gold Solitaire Setting for $8 to 10k Budget

I want to buy a ring either today or tomorrow for a round brilliant in a solitaire setting (white gold) with a budget of ~8000. The setting is not too important to me.

I was looking into Zales because of the 15% discount (and I know someone who will give me a 25% discount off the total bill) and was interested in this diamond at zales.com – serial # 56562879 (http://engagementring.theprestigediamondcollection.com/NewEngagementRing/NewDiamondOnly.aspx# To look up the serial #). With the July 4th discount of 15% off and 25% after the total bill, the cost of the diamond would be roughly 7500.

The only thing that concerns me is that I cannot visually see the diamond in more than 1 angle and am not sure if there is a visible inclusion based on the full report.

This diamond looks perfect but 1.52 is a little on the small side for me.

Sorry, one more thing, I prefer round cut, but I couldn’t help but notice princess cuts such as this one. If I can buy one this large, I wouldn’t mind getting one of these on the ring as long as its eye clean.

 Hypothetically, if I could increase my budget, I noticed this beautiful diamond, but the GIA report states that it has a “cavity” on the underside of it. Would this be noticeable?
