I am looking to spend between $6,000 and $7,500 on a diamond that will be in a platinum plain solitaire setting and purchase it from James Allen.
Very much appreciate your advice!
I’d be happy to help. What shape do you want?
I am looking for a round diamond – guess I am torn between staying just under a carat vs bumping up to something in the 1.25 range. If I expand my price range up to $8,500 would that allow me to get a good quality diamond at the bigger size? If I need to sacrifice on the quality then I would be tempted to get a nicer diamond but just under a carat.
Thanks in advance for your help!
I would recommend this diamond for you:

You do not need to expand your budget at all. This one is bright, eye-clean and will look perfect in that setting.
I guess I was in the same ballpark?
I was looking at this one….https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.20-carat-i-color-vs2-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-249055?a_aid=dmnd1357
Thoughts?
That one looks good, but I don’t see the price.
It is $7,400 – i put it on a hold awaiting your thoughts.
Its a great diamond.
Ok great, I am going to go with this one. Thanks for your advice!
