Hi Diamond Pro,
Your guides have been very helpful during this journey in purchasing the perfect engagement ring. I have determined that I will be buying from James Allen but I need some additional guidance in terms of determining which diamond is the best since I still do not trust myself in finding out if a diamond is eye clean.
I am looking at a solitaire ring in white gold, approximately 1.4 to 1.5ct, and having a round diamond.
I have seen some of your posts and could not believe some of the diamonds you picked out were technically of a lesser grade but looked much better than some of the higher grade ones that I have seen. I would really appreciate having your guidance in getting that type of value!
Thank you again and kind regards.
I found these two diamonds that look great and I thought you would like them as well:
Both are well cut and will look very bright and brilliant.
Check them out and let me know what you think.
Thank you so much for getting back to me. I have checked out the diamonds you sent me. Unfortunately, the second one is sold and the first one I could see a few inclusions.
My main goal is to get an identical type of diamond to those at the stores (e.g. Tiffany’s, Cartier, etc) at a greater value. They mentioned at those stores that they do not go below a certain level (I think H color and VS2 clarity but not sure). So I was wondering if I necessarily need to keep those parameters to get an identical looking diamond?
What do you think about this one?
Thanks again!
The first diamond has some inclusions, but none of them would be visible to the naked eye.
I checked the diamond you sent me and I don’t recommend it. If you want to stay with an H color one, you need to get an H graded by GIA/AGS. IGI isn’t a good lab. They are known for inflating grades. https://www.diamonds.pro/education/igi/
Here are two more options:
Would those compare to this one’s brilliance? It appears that this is the best value I could find. Would you agree? However, I was wondering if there are any like this but maybe smaller and a little cheaper?
The brilliance would be very similar. I don’t think you’d be able to see any difference.
But if you’re OK with an I color (as I see from your diamond link), I’d recommend going with one of these:

Thank you so much for all your help and patience. You have been amazing to deal with. I ended up purchasing the 1.4 carat one you just sent.
Excellent! I really like that one as well. It’s a great value.
