I am looking for a diamond engagement ring. And reading your website I am thinking of buying from James Allen. Here is what I have thought so far:
– round diamond
– solitaire
– platinum ring setting
Overall I am trying to stay within $1800 for the whole ring, which probably means a diamond that’s probably just under $1000. Do you think that’s possible? As this would be my first diamond gift I would want the diamond to look great to the naked eye. I know my budget is not much but maybe you can suggest something that’s just right.
This is the ring I am looking at but I am okay to select a different ring setting if this one is not a good match for the diamond:

They both are eye-clean, well cut and will look very bright and brilliant. I chose a J color as it gives you the best value and it won’t look yellowish at all.
