Q&A: Choosing a 1.2 Ct. Diamond for a White Gold Pave Setting

My BF and I are looking for the best value we can get for a round cut diamond around 1.2ct. It will be in a 14k white gold pave ring like this: http://gabrielny.com/amavida/style/ER7432W44JJ

I found these 2 that seem like they would be eye clean. What do you think? Also, will a J color stone stand out too much against the G melee stones in the pave band?

His budget is 8K, but I’m looking to spend much less. Thanks. 

I’m curious- between those 2 diamonds u suggested the H color price is lower than the I. Why is that?

Today we went to a bricks and mortar store to look at loose stones with my band and I realized that I want a color of H+, still eye clean, approx 1.2 ct., budget around $6500.

The previous 1.12 H SI2 was a great deal but is now sold! 🙁 I should have acted faster!
