I’ve heard good things about your website and I’m hoping for some help shopping for an engagement ring. I’m looking at a rose gold halo setting with a princess cut diamond like the ones shown here:
My budget is up to $2500, lower would be even better. I used your general advice for selecting a princess cut diamond for this type of setting but I’m wondering if there are other diamonds that might present a better value for this particular setting, or if you have general advice on selecting size, clarity, etc. for this setting.

I love the setting you picked. It’s beautiful. The diamonds is well cut and all the specs are great on it, but unfortunately it’s not eye-clean.
You’d be better off with something like this:

Thanks so much for your help. I really liked the diamond you picked out. Unfortunately, I was slow on the draw and the stone is sold. I’ve been waiting to confirm with her friends/family that the setting is exactly what she wants until I find a stone to put in the setting. After doing some ring shopping I think a diamond in the 0.6 to 0.7 ct weight (+/-) would be a perfect size for her hand.

Thanks for the suggestions! I really like the first one for the ring. It’s slightly smaller but with the halo setting should look nicely sized on her hand, plus it’s a little more within my budget. I just purchased the ring with this email.
