I want to purchase an emerald cut diamond that is eye clean. 1.08 to 1.15 carats. What is the lowest clarity I can go?
I’d be happy to make some recommendations for you, but I need a little more info.
What style setting (solitaire, pave/side stones/halo) and metal (yellow/white gold, platinum) do you want to use? This may affect the colors that I recommend for the center diamond (as we explain in our post on color).
Clarity-wise, the grade is not that important as long as the diamond is eye-clean. SI1+ is what we usually recommend.
I am looking at a solitaire. Probably cathedral setting. I like white metal personally. I will probably go with white gold 14k or 18k.
All right. This would be my recommendation then:
These are the cheapest eye-clean diamonds I found in that range. They are well cut and any of them will make a beautiful ring.
What do you think?
Could you look more in the 1 carat range. These are more than I would like to spend.
I was thinking 3500 with setting.
