Hello, just want to say that your site is such a great resource, thank you!
I’m looking for a round brilliant around 1.30 carats and around $8k to go with a platinum solitaire 6-prong classic Tiffany-like setting (already picked out). Pretty new at this, so looking on James Allen it’s hard for me to judge what stone will actually be eye-clean.
Take for example this one: https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.30-carat-i-color-vs2-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-247868?a_aid=dmnd1357
Is that inclusion on the top going to be noticeable? Any help to get the best stone is much appreciated.
I do not like the inclusion on that diamond. I’d recommend this one:

Thank you for suggesting that diamond, I was looking at that one as well but I wasn’t sure how visible that inclusion on the top would be. Is there any “ideal” time or season to buy a diamond (e.g. special discounts)? Thanks.
It is eye-clean. There is no real time to buy. I guess you can wait for cyber-monday, but the discounts are very minimal. Once they offered a free 2mm comfort fit setting. That’s only $180 and you may not even want that setting. If you find the right diamond you are best off jumping on it (you’d be taking a risk waiting till Monday that the diamond will sell out from under you) since the possible gain is so minimal.
Gotcha, thank you again.
My pleasure. Let me know what you decide to do in the end.
Thanks. I decided to purchase the ring (James Allen gave me 10% off the setting). I’ll let you know how it comes out.
