I’m going with a higher color quality because of the emerald cut; I don’t think I need to go into VVS on the clarity with an emerald cut, but I welcome your thoughts. I’ve looked at the James Allen site as well, and Blue Nile still beats them by about $300-500 in price depending on the diamond. Blue Nile also has a more attractive 3-stone setting according to my fiance.

That diamond you picked has two problems:
1) You should not buy a DEF color diamond with medium fluorescence.
2) I would not buy a VS1 emerald cut of that size without seeing a real image. The glassy appearance of emerald cuts make inclusions more visible.
