Thanks for your articles, they helped me loads. I have a question if you could help me? I’m from the UK and I was going to get a radiant cut diamond on a paved hidden halo setting/band. On asking for this to get made they told me they would not recommend as it’s likely one of the diamonds can fall out/pop with any small bumps/bangs on the ring, is this true?

If the jeweler himself wouldn’t recommend such setting, then I’d go either with a different one or switch to someone who can assure you their setting wouldn’t have this issue. It all comes down to the quality of the craftmanship.

This stone is not bad on paper, but I don’t like how flat it is. That’s something that negatively affects the light performance (i.e. brilliance). If you want the most brilliance possible, go with one that has the crown a bit higher.
