What do you think of a engagement ring with the following:
Color: F
Clarity: vvs2
Cut: Signature cut
Asscher 0.80 ct
I like quality, but I’m afraid this ring might be too small, some people tell me that I should sacrifice quality ir order to get a bigger one with more ct.
What do you think?
Does the diamond come with a certificate? If so, can you send it to me or its number? Then I’ll be able to give you a more informed feedback.
Please find attached the certificate. What’s your opinion regarding this type of diamond and size?
Thank you so much. Have a nice day.
That is a stunning diamond! It’s fantastically cut, eye-clean and will be very brilliant. You did a great job finding it! So are you going with a round cut in the end?
Still, if you want to go with something larger for a similar price, I have a suggestion:
https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/0.97-carat-h-color-vs2-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-2217397?a_aid=dmnd1357
There’s basically no difference between a G and an H color. This diamond is even better cut than the one you found, the price is reasonable and looking at the real measurements, it’s even larger than some 1ct ones.
What do you think?
Wow!! Amazing!
Thank you soooo much for your help. Let me tell you that you were recommended to me by two people, non-related to each other, and I’ll do the same. Thank you so much.
Two more questions:
1) yeah I think I’ll go with a round cut. It’s a personal taste. What’s your opinion on this?
2) I like quality. I’d rather buy quality than size in this case but nowadays people give too much importance to size (you know to show off). I’m not like that. You say there is no difference between G and H. I want one that shines as much as possible and that of course does not look yellowish.
You think that I should lower Color (from G to H) and lower Clarity (from vvs2 to vs2) and the difference is not noticeable?
Thanks a lot again.
You’re welcome 🙂 I’m happy to help.
1) I’d stick with round cut as well. It’s the most brilliant of all the diamond shapes.
2) G and H color look basically identical. It is cut what makes the diamond beautiful and brilliant, not the color. The diamond I sent you is superbly cut and will have a lot of added brilliance (i.e. will even look whiter than a poorly cut dull looking G or F).
Clarity grade is even less important. As long as the diamond is eye-clean, it doesn’t matter what the grade is (once it’s eye-clean, it’s simply eye-clean).
That said, you get a much better bang for your buck if you lower the parameters just a little bit. You’ll get the same (or even better) look for the naked eye with a significant price difference.
Thoughts?
Thanks a lot. I’m done bothering you 😛
Keep up the good work. Again thank you so much for your time.
Just to let you know, I’ll go with your suggestion!!
Have a “brilliant” :p day.
No worries 🙂 Thank you for the kind words. I’m glad I could help you decide on the diamond. I hope you’ll love it when you receive it. If you could let me know how it looks when it arrives, I’d appreciate it.
