Q&A: Asking for a Second Opinion on a 1.05 Ct. H Color VS1 Claritz Princess Cut Diamond

Hi, I am looking at buying a 1.05 carat Princess diamond with H color and VS1 clarity.

The depth is 73.8 and table is 76. Will this still give me brilliance?

Whats the price. I wouldn’t recommend the diamond (its pushing the cut envelope on the table). 


The diamond is $5,000. Is it ok that table is greater than depth or should it be the other way around. And for the 1 carat princess diamond what table and depth range do you recommend? Thanks for your help.

At that price, definitely don’t go for it. The table should be 75 or lower (preferably 73 and lower). If it was really cheap and you thought it looked nice, I’d say go for it. But its a terrible price:
