I wanted to ask your advice on a fancy color diamond that I am thinking of purchasing.

Overall, what are your thoughts? What color does it look like to you? Would it sparkle in normal light, or is it just going to appear really dark?

What can you tell me about pear shaped diamonds and in particular, the way this one is cut? Is it a good cut?

Would you recommend a halo setting, and if not, what would you recommend? I have pretty petite fingers and am a little afraid of it being too large with a halo. What metal would you recommend? I prefer yellow gold, but am unsure how that would look.

Any expert advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

You have to like that color to appreciate the diamond. Because it’s gray-greenish yellow, it will look more to the gray-greenish side. The brilliance will be great the diamond is nicely cut. Bottom line, it’s a fantastic diamond and if you like the color, there is nothing that should stop you from buying it.

As for the setting, if you have small hands, I’d recommend a solitaire or a pave setting. A halo might be a bit too big. Yellow gold will definitely bring up the yellow in the stone, which is great. Stick with what you like.

Thanks for getting back to me.

After much reconsideration of the previous diamond’s color, I now have my heart set on this amazing pink brown diamond:

What can you tell me about it? I am having trouble finding much wrong with it. What do you think about the cut and color? I am considering it with a rose-gold solitaire setting. Thanks!

I like the color MUCH more. It seems like you like deep colors, in which case the radiant is perfect. It’s also very well cut. The girdle is a bit thicker than I would normally like, but it doesn’t look bad at all.

I would like to let you know that we purchased that beautiful pink-brown diamond in a solitaire setting a couple weeks ago, and it arrived yesterday. It is beautiful, and I couldn’t be happier!

This is the email address I used for the purchase. Thanks!

I’m glad that you like it so much. That’s the most important part of the buying process.

Thank you for the info about the email.

If it’s not too much to ask, could you send me some pictures of it? We would love to inspire our readers.

Here are a few pics I took:
.61 carat pink-brown, radiant cut, on a simple cable band in rose gold. Looks different colors in different lights.

That’s gorgeous! I believe it looks even better in person, especially in daylight.

Thank you so much for the photos.
