Hi,
I’m looking at two types of rings.
An emerald cut with flanking stones, although I fear this would be too small a stone within my budget.
A seven-stone band along the lines of a Costco 636064, platinum, but with a less obtrusive setting and better stones if they would show to advantage in the setting.
Any suggestions?
Can you give me your ballpark figure of what you’re looking to spend? It will help me understand what we’re working with and what options I can find for you.
The budget is about $3000.
I found the following options:
14K WHITE GOLD MARQUISE SHAPE THREE STONE RING
14K WHITE GOLD 1.00CTW SEVEN STONE COMMON PRONG DIAMOND ANNIVERSARY RING
Heirloom Petite Milgrain Engagement Ring
Classic Cushion Cut Seven Stone Diamond Ring
What do you think of them?
I think I like the first one here best. The settings are quite different. Is that just aesthetics, or do some allow more light in and make the diamonds brighter?
It’s mostly aesthetics, but it’s true that some types of settings do allow more light to come through the diamond (talking 4prong settings). The more metal there is around the diamond (more prongs, basket to further secure the stone, etc.), the less light comes through to the diamond and it sparkles a bit less. So the one you like is a great choice in this regard.
I bought the Luna seven stone. Thanks very much for your help.
I’m glad you found something you liked so much.
