Q&A: Looking for a Thin Rose Gold Halo Ring Within a $6k Budget

Hello –

I need help finding a round diamond 1.50ct to 2.0ct.

Looking for H/VS2 and above if possible.

Thanks!

Can you tell me what style setting (solitaire, pave/side stones, halo) and metal (yellow gold, white gold, platinum) you are planning to put it in?

Also, what is your ballpark budget?

Hey – Thank you so much, I’m excited! I’m looking for 1 of 3 different types of designs: For all 3:
1) Rose Gold band (does it come in different shades? I’ve seen more bronze looking and then others that look more pink. I’m looking for more pink [see attached photo])
PHOTO

2) Round Cut

Different options:
1) Halo with diamonds on the band (see attached photo). Also notice in the photo that the metal is a very pretty pale pinkish looking that kind of even causes the diamonds to have a pinkish look. I REALLY like this ring, but am not sure if it is real, or if it is a photo shop trick.
2) Solitaire
3) Halo with no diamonds on the band

I would love a 1.49ct-1.99ct diamond H/VS2 and up. I was hoping for something in the $6,000 range.

Thanks for the details.

The photo seems either photoshopped or they managed to get a very strong pink rose gold. However, I’m not a jeweler and don’t know if it’s possible to find more shades. Try asking around or write to some online companies, such as www.jamesallen.com or www.bluenile.com. They should be able to tell you more.

But looking at the photo, the diamond looks quite pinkish as well, so I’d bet on photoshop.

Also, the diamond will probably have to be a tad smaller (1.20-1.30ct) if you don’t want to go over your budget.

Let me know what you think of the settings.

Thanks for sending over those diamonds, they are gorgeous!

Are you able to negotiate price and help get the jewelers down a bit, or do you strictly search the standard distributor sites and send me the results? (James Allen, Blue Nile, Brilliance, Brilliant Earth, etc)

I have changed just a tad on what I’m looking for.

Let’s go with:
Diamond:
1.5ct Round
I / VS2 and up

Setting:
Rose Gold
Solitaire or petite halo pave

I know there isn’t a big jump from H to I, but in some diamonds I do notice a difference.

Does rose gold matter when it comes to color? I know it lets you get away with a little lower color grade. Do you think I is too low?

Also, do you know if there are lighter more pale shades of rose gold that come off more of a pale pink? (like the photos I sent and also attached to this email again [2 different rings])

I know that ring is either photoshopped or Moissanite but I LOVE that ring, so that’s what I’m trying to find.

I found it on Pintrest but it doesn’t say where it was purchased.

Hopefully I didn’t ramble too much and this helps a little.

3 PICS

We can’t change the price. Online prices aren’t usually negotiable.

Ask JA/BN about the rose gold. Unfortunately, I’m unable to tell you.

I color will be definitely perfect for the solitaire setting. And shouldn’t be a problem in a halo either.

It would be better if we start searching for the center diamond after you decide if you want a halo or a solitaire setting. This way we will know what’s left in your budget for the diamond.

Ok, thanks!

Let’s go with a rose gold petite pave halo rose gold setting.

Great. I searched for the largest diamond possible, but unfortunately, there was nothing bigger than ~1.25ct within your budget:
